| Our Team: Paolo Ferrero: Born in Turin, Paolo is a native Piemontese and speaks English, French, German, Spanish and of course Italian. He comes from a family of restaurateurs and has made a passionate career out of fine food and wine. Paolo writes a column for the Italian wine magazine called Barolo & Co. and has an extensive knowledge of the local wines. Paolo is closely connected to a never-ending network of wine makers, restaurateurs and shop-owners, all of whom he knows personally. Elizabeth (Toni) Hilton-Pierobon: Toni was an ICU nurse in Florida, before meeting her Piemontese husband Roberto Pierobon thirteen years ago. They settled in Villa San Secondo, near Asti, where Toni has been organizing gastronomic holidays for several years. She is particularly knowledgeable about the rich local culture, and is fluent in Italian. Toni’s 8 year-old daughter Rebecca, who speaks English and Italian, is “in charge” of our mini- tours for kids. She knows all the fun spots for the under 12 set! |
